- Basically, i used to do a lot of sport when i was younger, and had began to participate less over the last year or so, and was getting quite unfit... Then one day for some reason, i thought, i know, i'll apply for the London Marathon, knowing there is a very slim chance of getting in and thinking, there is literally no way i am going to get a place... but I may aswell apply! A couple of months later a letter came through the door saying "Congratulations, you have been accepted and have a place in the Virgin London Marathon"... i'm going to be honest, i was pretty shocked. So here i am today running my socks off, for 20 odd miles a week, trying my absolute hardest to be fit enough for the 17th April, surprisingly i am actually starting to enjoy it! and would really appreciate any form of sponsorship. All proceeds will go to Village Aid which is a charity that works in remote rural areas of West Africa, partnering local organisations to find sustainable solutions. It is a small charity and i would love to raise a lot of money for them. http://www.villageaid.org/home.html
I came across your blog when I was trawling through the website looking for a sponsorship form for the Village Aid FSI run/walk on 2nd July. You are an inspiration! I was thinking of running the 4km, but now I am thinking of trying to do the 10km, which would be a huge achievement for me and my knees if I could make it! Hope by now you are back on track and good luck with the rest of the training
